News from Hannan

We hope everyone is enjoying the new look website which has been live for a couple of months now. I just wanted to give a bit of an update on what is happening and hope to happen soon. Even though we have not been able to visit the preschool the partner organisation Association Oum Rabia has been doing the most fantastic job running the preschool giving the little ones a much needed start to school life making it fun and also giving the children a drink and snack each morning. Sadly we had not enough children in Assaka to continue there this year, however we still have that little village in our hearts and minds and still want to help them and if the numbers increase we can still start a little preschool there in the future. The team in Morocco found a place in Khenifra where there are a large number of children and no preschool nearby so we rented a beautiful large house and we have a vibrant preschool with around 27 children registered. The Moroccan government are opening the borders on 7th February and if its possible we are planning a visit at the end of March with some teachers and staff from Princes Garden Preparatory school thinking of visiting at this time. This School in London have done a sterling job of fundraising for us during the last 2 years and have made a huge difference to what we are able to do. We are always looking for people who are willing to sponsor a child or give regularly as we need these much needed regular funds just to keep paying the bills, food and teachers wages.
